On the sidelines of the preparatory expert meeting held on Wednesday, the minister held several meetings with senior Belarusian officials. In this capacity, he discussed with Deputy Prime Minister Luri Shuleiko ways to strengthen bilateral partnership, according to the same source.
During this meeting, the two parties expressed "the strong desire of Algeria and Belarus to give new impetus to economic and commercial relations, particularly in the agricultural sector", considering that bilateral cooperation relations are "promising in various sectors".
Furthermore, Mr. Cherfa held a bilateral meeting with the Belarusian Minister of Agriculture and Food, Yuri Gorlov, on several issues related in particular to the strengthening of cooperation, particularly in the areas of red meat production, agricultural equipment, as well as the exchange of scientific and technical expertise.
As part of the first day's program, Mr. Cherfa and the accompanying delegation visited the headquarters of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange, where he learned about the various activities of this public institution at the national and international levels, the statement concluded.
