Under the slogan "شعب ضحى فانتصر", the Algerian Embassy to the Russian Federation commemorated the 81st anniversary of the May 8th, 1945 massacres.
In the presence of members of our national community in Russia, the ceremony featured the raising of the national flag and the playing of the national anthem, followed by a minute of silence and the recitation of “Al-Fatiha for the souls of our dear martyrs.
His Excellency Mr. Toufik Djouama, Ambassador of Algeria to the Russian Federation, delivered a speech on this occasion.
In the same context, a photo exhibition titled "Sacrifices and Resistance of the Algerian People against French Colonialism 1830-1962" was organized, in coordination with the General Directorate of National Archives at the level of various wilayas of the country.
