Algerian Military Cup: The President of the Republic presents the trophy to the captain of the team of the 1st military region

ALGIERS - The President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, presented the Military Football Cup trophy to the captain of the 1st military region team, Imad Benaissa, at the end of the final won against his counterpart from the 4th military region with a score of 2-1, Thursday at the Center for the regrouping and preparation of military sports teams (CREPESM) in Ben Aknoun (Algiers).

The President of the Republic also presented medals of honor to the players and technical staff of the two finalist teams. He also honored the referees of the match and signed footballs for each of them. The team of the 1st military region won the military football cup for the 11th time in its history.

Previously, the President of the Republic arrived at CREPESM where he was welcomed by Army General Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the National People's Army (ANP).

After listening to the national anthem, honors were paid to the President of the Republic by the formations of the various military forces of the ANP. The President of the Republic greeted the Army General Commander of the Republican Guard, the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defense, the Commanders of the Armed Forces and the National Gendarmerie, the Commander of the 1st Military Region, the head of the Employment-Preparation Department of the ANP General Staff, as well as the head of the military sports department.
