This meeting was an opportunity to review the results of the second session of political consultations, the work of which was co-chaired by the Turkish Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Lounès Magramane, the press release said.
During the meeting, the two parties "highlighted the major achievements made in strengthening the Algerian-Turkish partnership, particularly in the economic sphere," stressing "the need to intensify joint efforts to achieve the objectives set by the leaders of the two countries, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his brother, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in anticipation of the holding of the next session of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council," the same source added.
The meeting also focused on regional and international issues of common interest, including developments in the Palestinian cause and the situation in the Gulf and the Sahel-Saharan region, according to the statement.
