ALGIERS - The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of African Affairs, Ms. Selma Bakhta Mansouri, co-chaired, on Wednesday, with the Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Mr. Albert Chimbindi, the opening of the 4th session of the Joint Cooperation Commission between Algeria and Zimbabwe, hosted at the ministry's headquarters, according to a press release from the ministry.
Shortly before the start of the work, the Secretary of State gave an official welcome to Mr. Chimbindi, during which bilateral discussions were held on the state of Algerian-Zimbabwean relations and ways to strengthen and expand them, the press release stated.
"Both parties reaffirmed their countries' commitment to establishing a strategic partnership, based on mutual interest and serving the objectives of development and African integration," the text added.
