In a statement made public by the Presidency of the Lebanese Republic, following the audience granted by President Joseph Aoun to the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, the Lebanese President expressed his gratitude for "the support provided to Lebanon by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune."
The Lebanese President also praised the positions adopted by Algeria in favor of Lebanon at the UN Security Council, particularly during the last Zionist aggression.
President Aoun thanked the President of the Republic for the invitation to visit Algeria and instructed Mr. Ahmed Attaf to convey his greetings and wishes of success as well as his wishes of progress and prosperity to the Algerian people.
Stressing the importance of revitalizing relations between the two countries, the Lebanese President reaffirmed his determination to develop them in all areas.
As special envoy of the President of the Republic, Mr. Attaf is making an official visit to Lebanon during which he handed over to the Lebanese President a letter from the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
