Presidential election: candidate Zoubida Assoul submits her application

ALGIERS-The candidate for the candidacy, Mrs. Zoubida Assoul, filed, Thursday evening at the headquarters of the National Independent Authority for Elections (ANIE) at the Palais des Nations (Algiers), her declaration of candidacy for the presidential election of September 7.

In a statement to the press after filing her application, Ms. Assoul indicated that her candidacy for the next presidential election was an "important decision to contribute to the development of the country", stressing that her electoral program "covers several aspects and aims to develop the country, protect the family and achieve progress and economic development."
