In his speech, read on his behalf by the Prime Minister, Mr. Nadir Larbaoui, the President of the Republic affirmed that the use of force in Libya will only exacerbate the crisis and will jeopardize the future of the Libyan people. which will thus be deprived of its right to stability, security and prosperity, and will lead to the deterioration of the situation in this region, burdened more than any other by the deleterious effects of instability and political division in this country, which has unwillingly become a den of armed militias, terrorist groups and criminal arms and drug trafficking networks and a passage for illegal migration.
The President of the Republic reiterates Algeria's support for national reconciliation and the organization of elections in Libya
The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, expressed, in a speech to the participants in the work of the Meeting of the High Level Committee of the African Union (AU) on Libya, held Monday in the Congolese capital (Brazzaville), Algeria's full support for the inclusive Libyan national reconciliation project, ensuring that it will spare no effort within the framework of the missions of this committee, in collaboration with the regional and international organizations concerned, with a view to to contribute to the success of this expected national reconciliation process.
The President of the Republic reiterated the call to all Libyan brothers to work towards the realization of the aspirations of the Libyan people, all components combined, for security, peace and stability, to allow them to choose their representatives and to build its future with respect and harmony, far from any foreign pressure, interference or diktat, stressing that this can only be achieved through the organization of elections which were initially planned for the end of 2021, being the best way able to put an end to the Libyan crisis and the only guarantor of a definitive solution to the problem of legitimacy in Libya, a brother country.
