These agreements were concluded during the Algerian-Chinese Business Forum on Investment, organized at the Abdelatif-Rahal International Conference Center (CIC, Algiers), under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, by the Algerian Agency for the Promotion of Investment (AAPI), under the supervision of the Minister of Industry, Sifi Ghrieb, and the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, Dong Guangli.
The first agreement signed between the National Railway Transport Company (SNTF) and the Chinese company GENERTEC CNTIC, a subsidiary of the CRRC group, concerns the construction of a complex in Algeria specializing in the design, engineering and manufacturing of rail transport equipment and their associated parts.
Another agreement was signed between the Algerian foundry company "FONDAL", a subsidiary of the National Steel Company (SNS), and the Chinese automobile manufacturing company "Jetour". This agreement provides for an investment of more than USD 105 million over five (5) years for the construction of a factory in the wilaya of Batna, intended to produce 270,000 vehicles and create 1,000 jobs.
In the same vein, a partnership agreement was signed between the "Iris" group and the Chinese company "Chery" for the realization of a project on an area of 230,000 m2, specializing in the painting and welding of automobile bodies. This project is expected to lead to the creation of 1,200 direct jobs.
As for the partnership agreement signed between "Global Agri-Food", a subsidiary of the "Madar Holding" group, it concerns the implementation of an agricultural project in the southern wilayas, aimed at the development of strategic crops in Algeria.
An agreement has been reached with Madar Maritime Company (MMC), a subsidiary of Madar Holding, to establish a container manufacturing company for the transport of raw materials and finished products by land and sea.
The "Madar" group and the Chinese company "CCECC" also signed another agreement on the creation of a company specialized in industrial engineering, aimed at providing technological assistance to the group's subsidiaries and conducting studies for the benefit of Algerian industrialists, both public and private.
The partnership agreement signed between the agro-logistics complex "Agrolog" and the Chinese company "CRCC" concerns a poultry farming project. Furthermore, the "Condor" group signed a contract with the company "Hisense" for the creation of a factory producing air conditioners and washing machines in Algeria.
During the signing ceremony of these agreements, it was announced that an agreement will be signed on May 5 between the bicycle and motorcycle company "CYCMA" in Guelma, and the Chinese company "QJ Motor", with a view to developing the company's production through technology transfer.
