The memorandum was signed on the sidelines of the 13th edition of the International Forum “Atom Expo”, whose activities took place in the Sirius Park of Science and Arts in the resort of Sochi, Russia, on March 25 and 26.
The memorandum of understanding includes a road map for joint cooperation activities for the years 2024 and 2025, which includes the use of nuclear applications in the field of health, radiotherapy, reactors used in research, pharmaceutical nuclear preparations, and the formation of scientific and technical frameworks, in addition to developing nuclear technologies and applications for peaceful purposes, according to the statement.
The "Atom Expo 2024" exhibition was organized under the title "Clean Energy: Creating the Future Together", through a plenary session and thematic sessions, as well as exhibitions of the most important technological developments achieved by Russian nuclear companies and other international companies.
This edition also included a wide-ranging program of exchange of views, in the form of panel discussions and round tables, with the participation of nuclear industry business leaders, managers of international companies and global experts.
For reference, the exhibition was opened by the Director General of Rosatom, Alexei Likhachev, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Moreno Grossi, and the Director General of the World Nuclear Society, Sama Bilbao y León.
