"Our fraternal relations are strong and are based on solid foundations embodying more than 70 years of common struggle in defending the foundations of the Arab nation," affirmed the President of the Republic in a joint statement to the press with the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, as part of his working and fraternal visit to this brotherly country.
On the occasion of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the glorious Liberation Revolution, the President of the Republic expressed his thanks to President al-Sisi, and, through him, to the Egyptian people and all those who contributed to the "starting of the glorious November Revolution."
"We cannot talk about the Algerian Revolution without recalling the support we found, at the time, from Egypt, this brother country which helped all peoples in search of freedom and emancipation," said the President of the Republic.
Still within the framework of bilateral relations, the President of the Republic wished to see the great Algerian-Egyptian joint commission meet at the beginning of 2025, recalling that Egypt was "the first Arab country in terms of Algerian imports, the volume of which amounts to approximately one (1) billion dollars".
And to specify that the two countries wished to launch new investments.
In this regard, the President of the Republic indicated that he had "given the green light to the Minister of Housing to deal with the Egyptian brothers in areas related in particular to architecture and the construction of new cities", in view, he said, of "Egypt's great experience in this area".
