The meeting was "an opportunity to review the different aspects of the relations of fraternity, cooperation and solidarity uniting Algeria and Cameroon, and to discuss the means of raising them to broad perspectives, in accordance with the high orientations of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his brother President Paul Biya, aimed at instilling increased dynamics in the partnership between the two brotherly countries," the statement said.
During the same day, "Mr. Attaf held a working session with the Minister of External Relations of the Republic of Cameroon, Mr. Lejeune Mbella Mbella, devoted to examining practical measures to implement the cooperation activities agreed during the visit of the Cameroonian minister to Algeria last December," the same source continued.
The two parties also stressed "the need to continue consultation on the main current issues at the African level, as well as coordination on issues on the UN agenda, particularly at a time when Algeria is chairing the Security Council and Cameroon is chairing the UN General Assembly," the same source concluded.
