In response to a question from APS during a press conference on the work programme of the Security Council, which Algeria chairs during the current month of January, Mr. Bendjama said that "Algeria, as an African country, stands in solidarity with sister countries in Africa and wishes to share its experience in the field of combating terrorism."
He added, "Algeria has succeeded in eliminating terrorism (...) but it still exists in other places," expressing Algeria's readiness to transfer its experience in combating terrorism to the countries of the continent, while respecting the specificities of each country."

In this regard, the spokesman stated that the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, is the coordinator of the African Union in the field of combating terrorism and violent extremism, adding that "Algeria will, with all humility and determination, place its expertise at the disposal of friendly countries, especially in Africa."
In addition to combating terrorism, the Algerian diplomat raised other international issues during the press conference, most notably the situation in Libya and in occupied Palestine, especially the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip, and the threat facing the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
Mr. Ben Djamaa also addressed the conflict in Western Sahara, which is occupied by Morocco, and explained that it is a matter of decolonization that is a priority for Algeria, Africa and the United Nations.
