On this occasion, Mr. Attaf handed over to his Jordanian counterpart a letter from the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to his brother, His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, the same source specifies.
The delegations from both countries held extensive talks during which the two ministers reviewed "the state of bilateral cooperation relations established between the two brotherly countries in various fields, as well as ways and means of promoting them to higher levels, in accordance with the will of the leaders of both countries to consolidate the bonds of fraternity and cooperation between Algeria and Jordan."
In this context, both parties reaffirmed "their commitment to strengthening cooperation and partnership relations, particularly in priority sectors such as trade, health, agriculture and the pharmaceutical industry".
They also agreed to "hold, as soon as possible, the 10th session of the Joint Commission, and to activate the Business Council in order to give new impetus to bilateral relations".
At the multilateral level, "the two ministers exchanged views and visions on regional and international issues of common interest," the same source added.
They also "reaffirmed the consistent and principled position of both countries regarding the Palestinian cause, renewing their support for the inalienable right of the brotherly Palestinian people to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital," the statement concluded.
