A very warm popular welcome was reserved for the President of the Republic by the citizens of Djelfa, who praised his kept word on his commitments to the people, particularly with regard to development in this wilaya, which benefited from a vast complementary program, as well as several projects, which the President of the Republic was committed to bringing to fruition during his electoral campaign in 2019, and which were inspected during this visit.
At the start of this visit, where he was accompanied by the Chief of Staff of the People's National Army (ANP), Army General Saïd Chanegriha, and a large ministerial delegation, President Tebboune proceeded the commissioning of the Boughezoul (Médéa)-Djelfa-Laghouat railway line and the inauguration of a multimodal passenger and goods transport station.
The President of the Republic also inaugurated the Colonel Moudjahid Ahmed-Bencherif Anti-Cancer Center (CAC), built over an area of approximately 5 hectares, at a cost of more than 6 billion DA.
This vital project has cutting-edge medical equipment and an advanced digital system, as well as several health structures supervised by a highly qualified medical team, able to meet the needs of the population of the wilaya and neighboring regions. .
In the region of El Maalba (commune of Djelfa), the President of the Republic kicked off the project to revive the green dam, the first phase of which provides for the afforestation of 400,000 hectares by 2026.
The project to revive the green dam aims to increase the total surface area of this dam, which covers the country from east to west, from 3.7 to 4.7 million hectares in the steppe zones across 13 wilayas and 183 communes. .
President Tebboune also inaugurated the annex of the Faculty of Medicine at Ziane-Achour University, reporting to the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Algiers 1.
The introduction of the specialty of medicine for the 2023/2024 academic year has concretized the commitments of the President of the Republic towards the children of the region.
During his visit to the wilaya of Djelfa, President Tebboune also announced the launch, in 2024, of the 3rd housing construction program as part of the “AADL 3” rental-purchase formula.
The President of the Republic ended his visit with a meeting with representatives of civil society in Djelfa to listen and respond to their concerns.
