The President of the Republic inaugurates and launches several strategic projects in Algiers.


On Sunday in Algiers, on the occasion of the celebration of the 64th anniversary of the Independence Day and the recovery of national sovereignty, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, launched and inaugurated several strategic projects reflecting the unwavering commitment of the State to address the concerns of citizens and improve their living environment.
At the outset, the President of the Republic inaugurated the Algerian National Center for Digital Services in Mohammadia, the first of its kind in Algeria. This infrastructure represents a strategic achievement, reflecting the State's commitment to strengthening its digital sovereignty through a modern and secure architecture.
This infrastructure is intended to be a fundamental pillar for hosting data on the national territory, guaranteeing continuity of services and interoperability between sectors, in order to consolidate the digital transformation and the efficiency of public service for the benefit of the citizen.
In the Commune of Dely Ibrahim, the President of the Republic officially inaugurated the new headquarters of the Ministry of Housing, Urban Planning, City and Territorial Development, which is part of the modernization of public infrastructure and the provision of modern workspaces meeting the latest standards.
In the health sector, the President of the Republic inaugurated, in Mahelma, the Omar-Boudjellab hospital specializing in cardiology and pediatric cardiac surgery, with a capacity of 80 beds and which is
distinguished by its innovative nature, being the first totally digitized hospital (100%) in Algeria.
Equipped with seven specialized departments and a teaching center for training, the hospital will provide state-of-the-art care, thanks in particular to the activation of telemedicine.
The President of the Republic then went to the new city of Sidi Abdellah to inaugurate, in Rahmania, the "Ahmed-Taleb-El Ibrahimi" urban center, which has 10,507 rent-to-own (AADL) housing units.
The President of the Republic also officially launched the national housing distribution operation for the year 2026, which involves handing over the keys to 179,168 units, across all formulas (LPL, AADL, LPA, rural housing and social housing estates), throughout the entire national territory.
On this occasion, the President of the Republic highlighted "the achievements recorded in various fields," achievements that inspire pride. He added, "Thank God for the level reached by the country, thanks to the efforts deployed by those faithful to the legacy of the valiant martyrs."
In this regard, the President of the Republic indicated that "the strengths of our country lie in the fact that the majority of State spending is devoted to achieving social balances, particularly in the sectors of health, housing, education and teaching, issues which go hand in hand in order to achieve the desired objective".
This approach has allowed Algeria to be ranked "among the advanced and socio-economically developed countries," continued the President of the Republic, citing in support the ranking established by the relevant international organizations, which place Algeria among the advanced countries.
Still in Rahmania, the President of the Republic laid the foundation stone for the project to build the Algerian Institute of Cell and Gene Therapy, a health and scientific infrastructure that will include spaces dedicated to care, research and training in the fields of regenerative medicine and biotechnology.
Finally, in Ouled Fayet, the President of the Republic laid the foundation stone for the construction of a large performance hall with a capacity of 10,000 seats, a major cultural project covering 60,000 square meters which will strengthen the cultural infrastructure of the capital.
