BECHAR - The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, officially announced on Sunday afternoon in the wilaya of Béchar, the launch of the operation of the new Gara Djebilet-Tindouf-Béchar railway line, before welcoming the first passenger train from the Tindouf Station.
On this occasion, the President of the Republic commended the workers of the National Railway Transport Company (SNTF) and all those who contributed to the completion of this strategic project. He then spoke with passengers who were on board this first train on the Western Mining Line.
The President of the Republic also presided over the ceremony for the reception of the train carrying the first shipments of iron ore from the Gara Djebilet mine to Oran.
The President of the Republic had previously watched a documentary on the strategic project of the Gara Djebilet-Tindouf-Béchar Western mining railway line, produced by Algerian Television, under the supervision of the General Directorate of Communication at the Presidency of the Republic.
