On this occasion, the President of the Republic presented ranks and diplomas to the top graduates. He awarded a diploma to the top graduate of the Master's program for officers, and then the rank of Second Lieutenant and the Academy's sword to the top graduate of the Basic Training program.
The President of the Republic also presented the diploma to the top student of the Basic Joint Military Training program, who came from brotherly and friendly countries.
The President of the Republic then gave his approval to name the 57th class of basic training after the late President, the mujahid Liamine Zeroual, before attending
military parades performed by various formations of the People's National Army (ANP), reflecting a high level of precision and professionalism.
The President of the Republic also attended combat sports demonstrations, as well as a demonstration exercise performed by a mixed detachment of students from the academy.
The President of the Republic also watched aerial demonstrations carried out by fighter jet formations, and demonstrative exercises carried out offshore by naval forces, consisting of the search and interception of a suspect vessel as part of a maritime blockade operation.
As a reminder, the ceremony took place in the presence of senior state officials, members of the Government, executives and senior officers of the People's National Army (ANP).
The President of the Republic had arrived earlier at the Academy where he was received by the Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army (ANP), General Saïd Chanegriha.
The President of the Republic listened to the national anthem and reviewed detachments of the various forces of the ANP who paid him honors.
At the same time, the President of the Republic paid his respects to the late President Houari Boumediene, after whom the Military Academy is named, and laid a wreath of flowers in front of the commemorative stele and recited the Fatiha from the Holy Quran in his memory.
