As part of the implementation of the national summer camps programme for children of the national community residing abroad, Mr. Sofiane Chaib, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for the National Community Abroad, accompanied by the Minister of Youth, Mr. Mostefa Hidaoui, supervised today at Algiers International Airport "Houari Boumédiène" , the reception of the first group of children benefiting from the summer camps programme for the 2026 season, from the national community residing abroad.
This programme embodies the special attention that the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, gives to the children of the national community residing abroad, in accordance with his high directives aimed at strengthening the bond of rising generations with their homeland, consolidating their national belonging and preserving the components of their national identity, reflecting the constant care of the Algerian State towards members of its community abroad, and their inclusion in various national programmes with educational, cultural and social dimensions.
Two thousand (2000) children from the national community residing abroad benefit from this programme, which is part of an integrated national approach aimed at strengthening the bond of young generations with their homeland, through a rich programme combining educational, cultural, sporting and recreational activities, giving them the opportunity to discover the history of their country, its civilisational and cultural heritage, thus contributing to consolidating the values of belonging and national identity.
