During this meeting, "the Secretary of State handed over a letter from the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to his Sierra Leonean counterpart, conveying his sincere fraternal greetings and his common aspirations to strengthen the ties of fraternity and cooperation between the two countries and to raise them to higher levels in the common interest of both parties," the statement said.
These talks also provided "an opportunity to exchange views on the different aspects of relations between Algeria and Sierra Leone, as well as on ways to strengthen them in order to promote bilateral cooperation in various fields."
The two parties discussed "the main issues at the continental and international levels", while reaffirming "the importance of strengthening coordination and consultation between the two countries", the statement added.
