"Mr. President and dear brother, on the occasion of your election to the Presidency of the Lebanese Republic, a brother country, I have the pleasure of addressing to you, on behalf of the Algerian people and Government and in my own name, my warm congratulations and my best wishes for success in the exercise of your functions," reads the congratulatory message.
"Your election by the representatives of the Lebanese people in these critical times and in the difficult circumstances that your brother country and the countries of the region are going through, after a two-year vacancy, testifies to the confidence placed in you to assume these noble responsibilities with wisdom and competence," added the President of the Republic.
"We hope that this step will contribute to a recovery in Lebanon, by alleviating the suffering endured by its valiant people and achieving the security, stability, development and prosperity to which it aspires," the President of the Republic continued.
"On this occasion, I would like to salute the historic relations between our two countries, based on cooperation and solidarity, and to reaffirm our full willingness to work together to promote them," wrote the President of the Republic in his message.
"While reiterating my warm congratulations and fraternal greetings, I ask you, Mr. President and dear brother, to accept the expression of my consideration and my friendship," he concluded his message.
